Children Heard and Seen support children with a parent in prison to reduce the isolation, shame and stigma they face. This includes providing children with support from a trusted adult.

There are volunteer opportunities for:

  • Face to Face Mentoring - positive activities, role modelling
  • Online Mentoring - therapeutic support using CHAS resources

Volunteers act as a positive role model and give the children the opportunity to try new things, access resources, and develop life skills. Together, the mentor and child set goals to improve achievement in school, strengthen social relationships and develop new skills. Mentors are matched with children based on common interests, age, and individual needs of the child.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please get in touch at info@childrenheardandseen.co.uk or call 07557 339258.
